B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: 12-38028 Type: Motor Vehicle Collision - Injury Text: On 5/14/2012 at approximately 1623 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the intersection of the Palmer Wasilla Highway and Seward Meridian Parkway after receiving a report of a two vehicle collision. Investigation revealed Michael Singleton, age 32, of Wasilla was operating a green, 1996 Ford sedan when he exited the Cottonwood Elementary School parking lot and attempted to turn northbound onto the Seward Meridian Parkway. Singleton's vehicle was subsequently struck by a northbound grey, 2004 Toyota SUV operated by Domnica Polushkin, age 18, of Wasilla. Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts and receiving no injuries. One passenger in each vehicle were transported to the Mat-Su Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Henson, age 30, of Wasilla for Criminal Mischief 4th, Assault 4th and DUI after he was contacted leaving a residence in which AST was responding to a 911 call for a domestic disturbance and he was found to operating the vehicle while under the influence. Investigation revealed Debeaulieau had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for failure to appear for ASAP hearing on the original charge of Criminal Mischief IV. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Donovan P. McElligatt, age 19 of Kodiak. Investigation revealed McElligatt was operating his 2006 Mazda pickup and lost control of the vehicle on the icy bridge. McElligat's vehicle left the road and came to rest upright off the roadway. McElligatt reported wearing his seatbelt and suffering minor injuries. The vehicle is estimated to be a total loss.
