Investigation revealed a green 2006 Ford Five Hundred (being operated by Rachael Geary, age 24 of Wasilla) was traveling eastbound on Bogard Rd. when it rear-ended a green 1994 Ford Explorer (being operated by Marius Pitcher, age 30 of Wasilla). Damage to the Ford Explorer is estimated at $1000, the Ford Five Hundred is estimated to be a total loss. Investigation revealed Jessica R. Jones, age 29 of Wasilla, was operating a white 2008 Kia 4-door southbound on Palmer Fishhook Road when she lost control of the vehicle and rolled. Investigation also revealed Jones was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Jones reported wearing a seat belt and her injuries were treated at the scene by EMS. The vehicle was estimated as a total loss. Jones was arrested without incident and remanded to MSPT where she was held on $500 bail. Moore, age 25 of Wasilla, as a passenger during a traffic stop for a moving violation on Knik Goose Bay Road. Moore fled the traffic stop on foot into the surrounding wooded area where he was detained by Troopers. Investigation revealed Moore had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failure to comply with conditions of probation. Moore was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held on $10,000 + CATP bail. Investigation revealed that some time during the early morning hours of 4-29-12 the woman's 1994 Toyota sustained approximately $2000 damage when an unknown vehicle collided with it while it was parked in the apartment complex parking lot. The investigation led to the arrest of 24 year old Aaron Hedrick of Kodiak. Hedrick was charged with assaulting his 18 year old girlfriend with a rock. The investigation revealed two subjects, identified as Tarah Hargrove (24 YOA) of Anchorage and Miguel Myers (25 YOA) of Anchorage, entered the residence brandishing a knife and a firearm and demanded repayment of a past debt. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident. Hargrove and Myers were later contacted by AST Palmer Patrol and taken into custody. Myers attempted to conceal his identity by providing a false name. Investigators learned Myers had an outstanding arrest warrant for a probation violation with a bail amount of $10,000. Myers and Hargrove were both transported to Mat-Su Pretrial and remanded on charges of Robbery 1st Degree and Assault 3rd Degree. Hargrove's bail was set at $20,000 cash and CATP. Myers was additionally charged with providing false information and his outstanding arrest warrant with a total bail set for $70,000 cash and CATP. The investigation is still ongoing at this time. Author: BJH3 ------------------------------------------------- Received Wednesday, May 02, 2012 7:02 AM and posted Wednesday, May 02, 2012 9:07 AM ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla/ Anchorage Case number: 12-35236 Type: MICS Second Degree- Heroin Distribution, MICS Third Degree- Methamphetamine Distribution, MICS 4th Degree- Heroin and Methamphetamine Possession, Probation Violations, Warrant Arrests Text: On 5-1-12 at approximately 1800 hours, Investigators with the Mat-Su Drug Unit conducted a heroin sales investigation in the parking lot of a Wasilla business. Investigators contacted the suspect in the heroin sale, who was later identified as Timothy Russell, age 26 of Anchorage. Russell ran from Investigators but was caught after a foot pursuit and arrested. Investigation revealed that Russell had a felony warrant for his arrest for Probation Violation. Russell was also in possession of a large amount of heroin, some methamphetamine and several thousand dollars in US currency. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Daniel Russell, age 22 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that D. Russell was in violation of his probation and he was arrested. Both Timothy Russell and Daniel Russell were remanded into MSPT and were held without bail. Investigation was continued on the case at a hotel in Anchorage. With the assistance of the Anchorage Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration, contact was made with Joseph Gearhart, age 44 of Anchorage. Gearhart had three felony warrants for tampering with evidence, fraud and theft. Gearhart was arrested and was remanded into the Anchorage Jail, with bail set at $35,000 plus a court approved third party custodian. Two additional subjects were also contacted at the hotel. Investigation revealed that they were in possession of heroin and were involved in heroin distribution. Charges for MICS 2nd Degree and MICS 4th Degree are being forwarded to the District Attorney's Office on them. A forty-plant marijuana growing operation was located inside the residence. Marijuana grow equipment, packaging materials for distribution, scales, approximately $3000.00 in cash, and three hand guns were seized from the residence. Three counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the IV and one count of Misconduct Involving Weapons in the II will be forwarded to the Ketchikan District Attorney's Office for review. While on scene Trooper contacted a vehicle pulling into one of the houses and identified the driver as Darryl H. Claggett, age 75 of Big Lake. Investigation revealed Claggett was driving on a revoked license. The vehicle Claggett was driving was registered to his wife Wendy Claggett, age 46 of Big Lake. Darryl was issued a summons for DWLR, and Wendy was issued a summons for Allowing an Unlicensed Driver to Drive. Both were given a court date to appear.
