The driver was identified as Kelly A. Slocum (age 25 of Palmer). Investigation revealed Slocum was driving the vehicle without a valid driver's license. Slocum was subsequently issued a criminal citation and a court date, and was released at the scene. Alaska State Troopers attempted to perform a traffic stop on a red 1999 Chevy trailblazer at the RV Park. The vehicle drove off at a high rate of speed after Troopers attempted to stop the trailblazer. While pursuing the vehicle, AST observed it drive recklessly through the RV park, across the Parks Hwy and through a ditch. After a short vehicle pursuit both occupants of the vehicle fled on foot into the woods. Trooper K-9 Roelle and his handler arrived on scene and after a 1.5 mile track they located John F. Caverly, age 27 of Wasilla, hiding underneath a piece of equipment. Investigation revealed that Caverly recklessly eluded AST and attempted to hide the key to the vehicle from AST. Thanks to K-9 Roelle Caverly was placed under arrest for Eluding in the First, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Reckless driving. Caverly was transported to and remanded into the custody of Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and held on $10,000 bail. The victim lives with Savage when she stays in Aniak. The two were drinking together when Savage got angry, ordered the woman out of her house, and then assaulted her as she was leaving Savage's residence. Savage was arrested on a charge of DV Assault IV and transported to Bethel without further incident. Savage was remanded at YKCC without bail pending arraignment. AST investigation revealed that Apokedak was operating a Honda ATV near the Rainbow Hall in Levelock. A local male juvenile contacted the Levelock VPSO after Apokedak created a disturbance at the Rainbow Hall. Apokedak was arrested for DUI and transported to the Bristol Bay Jail in King Salmon; he is currently awaiting arraignment on the above charge. Hamilton got off the snow machine and took the ANICA store's Honda four-wheeler and then drove it around. Alcohol was a contributing factor. Hamilton was arrested for 2 counts of Vehicle Theft 2nd Degree, Reckless Driving, Habitual Minor Consuming Alcohol, Driving While License Revoked and Driving after Consuming Alcohol. Hamilton was transported to YKHC in Bethel. On 04/25/12 during arraignment Hamilton pled guilty of and was sentenced to 130 days in jail and a $1,500.00 fine. Troopers contacted the driver of the vehicle and smelled an odor of alcohol coming from the driver's breath. Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver was 30 year old Aniak resident Kimberly Ward, who was under the influence of alcohol. Ward failed field sobriety testing and was arrested on a charge of Driving Under the Influence. Ward was remanded at the Aniak Trooper Post where she was arraigned telephonically on 4-28-12. Troopers responded and contacted two adult females who advised that 23 year old Aniak resident Charles Lang, Jr., had argued with them and then assaulted them, causing injuries to one of them. After they got him out of the house, he kicked and pounded on the door. The investigation revealed two subjects, identified as Tarah Hargrove (24 YOA) of Anchorage and Miguel Myers (25 YOA) of Anchorage, entered the residence brandishing a knife and a firearm and demanded repayment of a past debt. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident. Hargrove and Myers were later contacted by AST Palmer Patrol and taken into custody. Myers attempted to conceal his identity by providing a false name. Investigators learned Myers had an outstanding arrest warrant for a probation violation with a bail amount of $10,000. Myers and Hargrove were both transported to Mat-Su Pretrial and remanded on charges of Robbery 1st Degree and Assault 3rd Degree. Hargrove's bail was set at $20,000 cash and CATP. Myers was additionally charged with providing false information and his outstanding arrest warrant with a total bail set for $70,000 cash and CATP. The investigation is still ongoing at this time. Officers contacted GEORGETTE WEEG, age 44 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed WEEG was driving on a Revoked Driver's License and also operating the vehicle while intoxicated. WEEG was arrested for DUI and it was later determined she had been convicted of DUI at least 2 prior times in the proceeding 10 years. Troopers contacted the driver, later identified as Stephanie R. Mouse, age 22, of Wasilla who at first provided a false name to Troopers. After obtaining Mouse's true name she was found to be driving with a suspended driver's license for a point's system violation. Mouse was placed under arrest for driving on a suspended license and giving false information to Troopers. Mouse was later transported and remanded in to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was held on $500 bail. Troopers also contacted a passenger in the sedan who was identified as Nicole M. Yunker, age 29, of Wasilla who was found to be in possession of two hypodermic needles with one containing methamphetamine. Yunker was also found to be in possession of an additional baggie of methamphetamine. Yunker was placed under arrest for misconduct involving a controlled substance in the 4th degree. Yunker was transported and remanded into the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was held on $1500 bail.
