B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Palmer Case number: 12-33323 Type: Assault 2, Assault 3 (x2), Assault 4 (x3), Reckless Endangerment (x2), Disorderly Conduct (x2), Tampering with Physical Evidence and Misconduct involving a Controlled Substance 6th Text: On 4/22/12, at approximately 0541 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Our Road near Palmer for an assault. Investigation revealed that Eric A. Karlsen, age 37 of Palmer, had assaulted three family members and endangered two children. Karlsen was subsequently arrested for Assault 2, Assault 3 (X2), Assault 4 (X3), Reckless Endangerment (X2), Disorderly Conduct (X2) and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. While enroute to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, Karlsen possessed and concealed a controlled substance. Karlsen was additionally charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 6 (MICS 6) and Tampering with Physical Evidence after trying to destroy the evidence of the MICS 6th investigation. Investigation revealed that Sorrow was operating the vehicle after consuming alcohol. Further investigation determined Sorrow's license was not valid. During the stop, the driver, S.V., 17 of Delta Jct, was found to have been drinking and had a strong odor of burnt marijuana on his person. Investigation revealed that S.V. had been drinking and had two pipes commonly associated with smoking marijuana in the vehicle in his possession. S.V. passed field sobriety tests, but was issued Uniform Summons and Complaints for Minor Consuming (MCA), Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 6th Degree (MICS 6), and issued a traffic ticket for Minor Operating after Consumption of Alcohol (MOCA). Investigation showed that A.C. had been angry with another juvenile who happened to be riding a bike on the opposite side of Stirewalt St from the other two pedestrians. Eielson Rd. During contact with a minor at a bonfire party located at the residence, the minor admitted to owning a blue Jeep Liberty from where the music had been coming from. The minor was identified with a State ID as Victor N. KILIMNIK, 20 of Delta Jct. KILIMNIK had been drinking and ran from the scene when being questioned about his alcohol consumption. A check of the plates on the Jeep showed that the plates belonged to another vehicle that had a 'Junked' title. The Jeep was seized for evidence and investigative purposes. A Disorderly Conduct warning was issued to the person claiming to live at the residence where the party had been taking place.
