Investigation revealed Demoski had consumed alcohol while being under the age of 21. Further investigation revealed Joshua Lewis, age 21 of Houston, had purchased and provided alcohol for Demoski. Both were issued citations to appear in court at a later date and released at the scene. Investigation revealed that Glenn E. Mathes, age 63, of Wasilla, had passed away due to natural causes. Next of Kin was on scene at the time of death. Mikey Muna, age 30 of Wasilla, was identified as the driver and investigation revealed Muna had given a false name, was driving with a suspended license, was in possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, and failed to notify a peace officer of his possession of the firearm. Muna was arrested, transported, and remanded to MSPT where he was held on $5,000 bail. The driver was identified as Jason Taylor, age 37, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Taylor was operating a 2001 maroon Saturn Sedan while impaired and under the influence of alcohol and damaged property of others' when the vehicle collided with mailboxes. Taylor was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Criminal Mischief V. Taylor was transported to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where he was remanded and held on $500 bail. State Troopers responded to Anvik and determined the purported assault took place at the males residence during a party. Alcohol was a contributing factor and this investigation continues. The altercation took place at Evan's Lower Kalskag residence. The male only sustained superficial injuries and no medical treatment was needed. AST responded to Nondalton and an investigation revealed that Calvin Trefon, age 22 of Nondalton, assaulted an adult male and an adult female family member by grabbing and pushing them. A local community health aide responded prior to AST arrival. During the Health Aide's contact with Calvin Trefon, Calvin Trefon damaged the health aides vehicle and a clinic owned telephone handset. AK Bureau of Highway Patrol ------------------------------------------------- Location: Fairbanks, AK Case Number: AK12203478 Type: MVC- Fatality Text: On 4/19/12 at 0748 hours AST Fairbanks received multiple 911 calls reporting a two vehicle head on crash near 870 Chena Ridge Road. Preliminary investigation reveals that a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Tristan Aronson (31 YOA, Fairbanks) crashed head on into a 2002 Mercedes ML 500 SUV driven by Liubov Springer (60 YOA, Fairbanks). The crash occurred in Springer's lane of travel. Springer suffered serious but not life threatening injuries. Aronson was declared deceased by medical personnel on scene. Air bags deployed in both vehicles. Springer was seat belted but Aronson was not. Aronson's next of kin have been notified. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor. Several witnesses in different vehicles saw the crash occur. Text: On 4/15/12 at approximately 2028 hours Officers of the South Central team of the Alaska State Troopers Bureau of Highway patrol, contacted the driver and passenger of a 2000 Dodge Durango, following a REDDI report of erratic driving. As the officers approached the vehicle they observed the male passenger of the vehicle was actively using narcotics. Officers also observed an approximately 18 month old infant in the backseat of the car in a child seat observing the actions. The driver of the vehicle, KENDRA JACKSON, age 27 of Wasilla, was arrested for DUI drugs, Endangering the welfare in the 1st degree, Endangering the welfare of a minor in the 2nd degree, MICS 4th degree, MICS 5th degree and MICS 6th degree. As the officer was approaching the vehicle, the driver and passenger switched seats. Upon contact officers determined the original driver of the vehicle was a 13 year old minor, who's father had forced him to drive him to the liquor store for more alcohol. Investigation revealed, the father, ALEKSANDR AVERYANOV age 41 of Wasilla, who was now in operational control of the vehicle was intoxicated. AVERYANOV was arrested for DUI, Endangering the Welfare of a minor in the 1st degree and Allowing an Un-authorized person to drive.
