Gambell is a local option community where the sale, importation and possession of alcohol are banned. Investigation determined that the 28 year old resident of Savoonga purchased the alcohol in Nome and transported the alcohol in her backpack. The suspect has been twice convicted of misdemeanor alcohol importation within the last 15 years. A case report will be forwarded to the Office of Special Prosecutions and Appeals referring a charge of Felony Alcohol Importation. The Felony charge is due to her prior convictions. It was reported that they departed Kasigluk on 4-7-12 at 1000 hours, via three snow machines. They were expected to return later that evening on 4-7-12. Search and rescue volunteers were dispatched from Kasigluk and Nunapitchuk. On 4-8-12, at 1636 hours, the three men were located and returned safely to Kasigluk. No injuries were reported. Frenzl, age 28, of Fairbanks, was arrested in Fairbanks for Criminal Trespass in the First Degree for arriving at another females residence with several males after sending the female a text message stating she and the other males were going to assault her. Frenzl was also found to be on Conditions of Release. Frenzl's conditions were not to consume or possess alcohol. John Evans, age 27 of Fairbanks, was one of the males in the vehicle. Subsequent investigation revealed that Evans was on Probation. The girl was taken to Central Peninsula Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. Troopers made contact with Mathew Darryl Theodore, age 28 of Wasilla and a passenger in the vehicle who was identified as Timothy Lee Kuretich, age 27 of Big Lake, AK. Investigation revealed Theodore was driving while license suspended, issued a misdemeanor citation and released on scene. Further investigation revealed Kuretich had two outstanding arrest warrants. The first warrant was for failure to comply with conditions of probation on the original charge of Assault IV. The second warrant was for failure to appear for arraignments on the original charge of DWLS. Kuretich was arrested, transported to and remanded in MSPT with his bail set at $1,000.00. Investigation revealed Press was driving while license suspended. Press was issued a misdemeanor citation to appear in court at a later date and released on scene.
