B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: 12-31834 Type: Natural Death Text: On 4/17/12 at approximately 0216 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of an unexpected home death on Charley Dr. in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Glenn E. Mathes, age 63, of Wasilla, had passed away due to natural causes. Next of Kin was on scene at the time of death. The State Medical Examiner's Office was contacted and released the body to family. No foul play is suspected. AST responded. Investigation revealed that Jeremiah Chuckwuk, age 23 of Aleknagik, was intoxicated and fired a shotgun multiple times in the residential area of North Shore Aleknagik, placing at least two people in fear they would be injured. AST was unable to contact Chuckwuk that night, but arrested him at his residence on 4/15/12 at approximately 1400 hours. Chuckwuk was charged with two counts of Assault IV and Misconduct Involving Weapons IV and booked at Dillingham Jail with $5,000 bail. Subsequent investigation revealed 3 suspects entered the premises and took a safe that was bolted down and several items from off the shelf. Lazy Eight Court in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Darrell Boggess, age 75, of Wasilla was driving a white, 2000 Subaru Outback eastbound on Bogard Road when his vehicle collided into the rear of a gold, 2005 Subaru Legacy operated by Kerstin Jackson, age 69, of Wasilla who was stopped behind a second car turning left from Bogard Road onto N. Lazy Eight Court. Both vehicles sustained over $500.00 in damage and both drivers reported to be wearing their seatbelts. Jackson was transported to the Mat-Su Regional Hospital for minor injuries. Boggess was issued a citation and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
