Investigation revealed that 27- year-old Anchorage resident Brandon Ilutsik began fighting with security personnel attempting to remove him from the premises. Investigation also revealed that Ilutsik was highly intoxicated on a licensed premises. Ilutsik was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Drunk on Licensed Premises and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded on $1500 bail. Copelin, age 28, of Wasilla for violating his conditions of release from jail. Copelin was contacted after AST was dispatched to his residence on Helen Lane in Wasilla for the report of a disturbance. Investigation determined Copelin was intoxicated and had been released from jail for the original charges of Assault 3rd, DUI, leaving the scene of a MVC, and harassment and was prohibited from consuming alcohol. Copelin was taken into custody and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial facility where he was held on $6000 bail plus CATP. Monica Sanford (age 28) was contacted and determined to have alcoholic beverages in her possession. Sanford was issued a summons for alcohol possession in a dry village and the alcohol was seized for evidence. The village of Gulkana has banned the importation, sale and possession of alcoholic beverages inside their village boundaries since March 1998. AST was not able to locate James at that time. At 1737 hours, AST located the vehicle James was operating on Wasilla Fishhook near Summit Cir. and conducted traffic stop. Investigation revealed that James was operating a motor vehicle while impaired and under the influence of alcohol. Records indicated that James was operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. The plates displayed on the vehicle at the time of contact did not match the vehicle being operated by James. James was arrested for DUI, DWLR and Misuse of Plates and remanded into custody with bail set at $1000 plus a court approved third party. Paramedics from Kotzebue were flown to the scene and attempted advance CPR. Kazenoff died at the scene and his body was flown to Kotzebue and then on to the State Medical Examiner's office in Anchorage. Next of kin has been notified. The party had departed Goodnews Bay at about 1300 hours, and had not arrived in Togiak as planned. At about 2230 hours, a ground search team from Goodnews Bay was sent out and located Evon's snow machine broke down along the trail. While searchers were searching, a citizen traveling along the trail located Carl and Stella Evon and provided them with transportation to Togiak. David Small, 45, of Quinhagak was arrested and remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center after a joint investigation with the Alaska State Troopers revealed that Small assaulted his significant other. Small pled guilty at arraignment and received 60 days in jail. Text: On 4/15/12, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Sitka Post contacted Kamden J. Johnson, age 22, and Kevin J. Skannes age 22, both of Sitka, in Nakwasina Sound. Investigation revealed Johnson and Skannes had operated personal use pot gear that was unmarked and did not meet escape mechanism regulations. The men were also found to have immediately removed the carapace of 15 Dungeness crab harvested to avoid the determination of the minimum size limits. Five of the crab appeared to have been less than the 6.5" minimum size. The crab and pots were seized. Johnson was cited for disfiguring crab before returning to place of processing, no biodegradable escape mechanism, and unmarked personal use crab gear. Skannes was cited for disfiguring crab before returning to the place of processing, and unlawful escape ring configuration. Arraignments are set in Sitka District Court. Text: On 4-15-12 at 0316 hours the Alaska State Troopers, Bureau of Highway Patrol, Kenai Peninsula Team, conducted a traffic stop on a 2009 Ford Focus for speeding. Upon contact Investigation revealed Braden M. Lichty, 20 YOA of Soldotna AK was operating the vehicle while DUI. There was a female passenger in the vehicle that was under the age of 18 and was intoxicated as well. The passenger was issued an MCA and was released to a responsible party. Lichty resisted arrest but was taken into custody. Lichty was transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was remanded for DUI, MOCA, MCA, Resisting Arrest, DC and contributing to the delinquency of a minor where he was held on $1,750 bail.
