Batterer's Intervention Programs
The Council funds nine and oversees 15 Batterers Intervention Programs. (BIPs) Batterers Intervention Programs heighten victim safety and batterer accountability. They are part of a coordinated community response to the crime of domestic violence.
The programs help clients understand the abusive nature of their behavior and the effects of their violence on their families. For those who choose to be accountable, this education helps them make progress in every aspect of their lives. Download a PDF of Council approved Batterer's Intervention Programs.
